Paiste's classic gong mallets are a staple of every gong player's arsenal. The M1 - M8 mallets are constructed with a metal handle. The head contains a heavy plastic core surrounded by felt and cloth, and then wrapped by synthetic lambswool.

In our experience, you can easily go with one size smaller than recommended because these mallets are quite heavy and your arms can become tired if playing for extended periods. For most players with gongs between 30" and 36" an M5 is the best choice.
